As part of the Associations for Equality Program, for fiscal year 2023, of the Secretariat of Substantive Equality between Women and Men, various organizations promoted projects among young people and adolescents in various municipalities of the State of Jalisco.
This year, more than 22 million pesos from this program were delivered to 38 civil society organizations.
The Citizenship for Social Integration Romania Phone Number List organization CISAC promoted empowerment and agency capacity in rural secondary schools of the Municipality of Poncitlán, Jalisco in the construction of their learning about their sexuality for the prevention of adolescent pregnancy.

The CISAC “I am my crush” project was carried out in various stages:
1. Diagnosis.
Conducting focus groups of adolescents living in the municipality of Poncitlán, between 14 and 19 years of age; in which the participation and expression of young people was encouraged by sharing experiences, fears and insecurities that they hardly recognize with their teachers, parents, or with their peers of the opposite sex, which highlights the value of this exercise, since they are spaces that generate empathy and ties between the participants.
2. Awareness.
Conducting workshops on prevention of teenage pregnancy (with sessions on the topics of the social construction of gender, emotional bonds, sexual-reproductive rights, responsible health and sexuality, and construction of a life project), aimed at 200 adolescents from Poncitlán, between 14 and 19 years of age.
Likewise a WhatsApp line was implemented available to answer questions about sexuality of the participating adolescents, and which will serve to monitor the activities linked to the workshop that the participants will carry out, which seeks to install self-care and collective care capacities among the participants. In this phase, focused self-defense sessions were held for adolescent women, aimed at promoting their empowerment by recognizing and using the physical capabilities of their body.
3. Dissemination and awareness.
A dissemination campaign that will consist of the printing and distribution of posters on the construction of positive masculinities and on the construction of healthy emotional ties and the prevention of gender violence.
According to the report from the Government of the State of Jalisco, this “Associations for Equality” program has benefited, since 2019, more than 140 thousand people in Jalisco and reaching 83 of the 125 municipalities. – Support ranges from 200 thousand pesos to 700 thousand pesos.
The main purpose of this "Associations for Equality" program is to provide financial support to Civil Associations (CA) that present projects aimed at addressing and combating the problem of pregnancies in childhood and adolescence.
