The opening round of the Monster City Invitational Hero Tournament saw victory for both Citius and Axel the Mutated Shark. It looks like the hope lies in either of those two heroes! The villains watched on, however, noticing how hard the heroes fought each other to be the next King of the Monsters, and plan to catch the heroes off-guard and with back-up on low supply. Does this mean the final round must be postponed, so the heroes can drive back the evil plans of Lesser Evil? Will any of them live to see the final round? Stay tuned to find out! "Season 3: Episode 11: Party Crashers" Deadline is November 24th at 11:59:59pm EST (midnight)
(bronze medal brawl) SatelLight vs Blue Mantis
(final round friends) Citius and Axel the Mutated Shark vs MechaAxel and Nyarlath
(card always subject to change)

(inside his apartment room...)
Blue Mantis rises from this bed. It's early in the morning. He's rested well, and he looks forward to facing Blake and SatelLight to decide how takes third place in the Monster City Invitational Hero Tournament. Bronze isn't much of a metal, but it's the competition that matters and it's about giving back to the Blue Mantis fans around the city that's cheered him on.
He rolls off the bed and into some blue rubber boots. He pulls up some blue spandex and fixes a blue wedgie. Just as he's about to grab his cowl and cape, his cell phone rattles on the counter top.
*Mantis, It's Blake. SatelLight is still malfunctioning. I have to spend the day on repairs. I have to forfeit. Sorry.*
Slightly disappointed, Blue Mantis puts his phone back on the counter. He is also relieved. He gets to go back to sleep. He gets to sleep in. Also, he won. He jumps into the air with a victorious fist in the air.
(deep within their underground headquarters...)
“I hope you understand I expect victory this time,” the leader of Lesser Power, the great and lesser powered shadow organization, says pseudo-scoffing at one of his technicians. “Not that we aimed to lose before, but the time for improvisations are over! MechaAxel is armed with more lasers! More missiles! More teeth! And more ass-kickery than ever before! Regular, stupid, smelling of rotten fish farts, Axel the Mutated Shark will regret asking to feed him more!”
“Shall I bring up the video feed, sir?” asks the lackey.
“Yes, you shall,” the leader pompously commands, arrogantly leading his team into battle vicariously through the operation of a robot shark. “And I forgot to mention Nyarlath will be aiding us today. So finally we can wipe those useless, pitiful, heroes off the map once and for all! All we have to do is... wait... where is Nyarlath? Move the camera around, you fool! I can't see him!”
Despite the camera angle, Nyarlath is unseen. Invisible, maybe, but more likely just not present.
“He's supposed to be there!” the leader shouts. “Where is he?!”
“I'm not sure, sir,” the subordinate replies. “But Mjaeder is still recovering himself, so...”
“-Bah! Nonsense!” the leader interrupts, cutting off his underling. “We probably wouldn't need that jerk anyway... The power of Lesser Power... wow... it's so good. We really don't need anyone else to help us, really.”
Just then, shown through the video feed, MechaAxel is dive-bombed from opposite directions. Both Axel and Citius slam into the robot, squashing his center bits together. MechaAxel quickly collapses to the earth and the two heroes are quick to leap on him to add to the damage.
“You know what?” the leader says, nonchalantly and seemingly uncaring. A sarcastic tone almost hides it completely. “Shut it down. Shut it. Close it. Turn it off. Yes, that. The monitor. Close it down. Off. Yes. Good. Now it's off, like I want. I don't even care. I don't want to see it, because I don't care or care to see it. I'm just going to turn away, walk, walk away, and go back to the book I was reading. I don't even care about this now in the least bit. I'm going to read my book now.”
The leader of Lesser Power leaves the monitor room, maybe too upset to express it fully, but the subordinate lingers around. With the leader off reading his book, or more realistically crying himself to sleep, he turns the monitor back on.
On top of a metal heap that was once MechaAxel, stands both Citius and Axel the Mutated Shark. This time, they worked well as a team to defeat evil, but, as they peer into each others eyes, they understand that something a bit more greater is on the horizon.
“Citius versus Axel for the King of the Monsters crown,” the subordinate wonders out-loud. “That's going to be one hell of a fight!”
