“We've lost visual on the satellite...” reports the gloomy Dr Lander.
“Switching to SatelLight's main camera” says the scientists that has been previously controlling Satellite's thrusters. The main monitors show a cityscape in ruin.
“Blake, you are a genius!” shouts out Dr Lander in praise.
“Ehh... I wasn't even thinking... just following normal procedures.. heh” says Blake, the teams computer specialist. Blake's attenion then turns to the main monitor as well, and a sudden thought pops into his head. “Where is Satellite anyways...?” Blake starts typing on his computer, trying to find where it is using its GPS. “This doesn't make sense... Satellite isn't on earth by these readings!” exclaims Blake.
“What!? … Play back Satellite's video memory quickly!” Says the CGS officer.
“Satellite's video playback and reports are my job sir... now, if you would allow me to do that, Officer Stone...” Says Dr Lander.
Officer Stone throws up his arms up and says “Men, back off and let him do his job” in slight disgust, but he knows he has to let him do his assigned task. His men lower their guns and back away from Dr Lander.
“Thank you kindly” smirks Dr Lander smugly. He puts up Satellite's video memory, starting with the point after they lost visual on it. (Read TMD's last Mash-up if you need a refresher to what happend)
After the video memory plays out, the intern for the scientific team says, “sounds like an AT4W side-story plot”
“What is this idiot blabbering about!?” says Officer Stone while pointing at the intern.
Dr Lander replies back, “Bill is something called a retro web show and classic entertainment enthusiast. Please just don't mind him and let him get back to getting us food”
“Ya, whatever....” Says Officer Stone. His attention then turns to the main monitor were a static image of MEGAPWN is shown. “Now if we could just capture this powerful being and use him to crush our rivals...” mutters Officer Stone.
An odd hovering object with a brain in a transparent dome, with 2 supporting CPU analyzers built around it busts into the room, and says “The Isle of Science is taking over this operation, top brass agreed after seeing the footage” apparently directed at Officer Stone.
“Ooooh cool.. that thing is like the Magi system” Bill says.
“Magi... system? My name is President Zallen... What are you blabbing about anyways!?” says Zallen.
“Brain Guy is angry” says Bill and then giggles
“Old entertainment references apparently.. he's slightly nutty, but he makes some damn good coffee,” says Dr Lander.
“Ok... sure. Anyways... lets get down to business. I'm reforming this team. Look at your monitors to see if you made the cut,” says Zallen.
Everybody looks at their monitors. Dr Lander is still a leader, but still takes orders from Zallen. Dr Doward is 2nd command (only because he knows the battle system), Blake is computer expert and now also the direct controller of Satellite (with the permission of the leaders of the team that is). Intern Bill is still coffee maker and food gofer... and also now a janitor on top of that.
“Cool, I'm like ROGER WILCO now. I'm the unlikely main protagonist here” says Bill.
“Stop referencing old crap!” says Zallen.
“... Housemaster quote” quietly says Bill.
“So how can we make things right with the... things... Satellite was battling on full auto?” says Zallen.
“let's try to connect the manual control?” Says Dr Lander. Blake taps away at his keyboard.
“What? We had connection lag last time and I THINK it was closer then than it is now...” Says Dr Doward
“...We are connected” Says Blake.
“WHAT?” says Dr Doward in unbelief.
SatelLight moves around on the main monitors slightly.
“Lag is negligible” reports Blake.
“Could... could it be that our worlds are somehow REALLY closely linked?” Dr Lander thinks out loud.
“Interesting theory... I'll process that theory in my computers that are linked to my brain. Will take a while for even me to even process that though” Says Zallen.
Dr Lander points at the screen “Lets get to work, Blake!”
Blake takes up the controls for Satellite and replies back, “Yes sir!”
"Only engage in combat only if it is unavoidable in that situation," calmly states Zallen.
"Understood, Zallen... but I doubt if we can undo what was already done by SatelLight" Says Blake.
