A grown adult. We had just established that the account held by this individual and her associate was set up in 1996. She then asked me for 5 year performance information on the fund, which I provided. I then asked if she'd like 10 year figures as well because I had those right at hand.
She said "No, we haven't had the fund that long."
"Yes, you have, ma'am."
"No, the account was set up in 1996."
"... 1996 was 16 years ago, ma'am."
"What?! No!"
Her friend and joint owner "Yes, 2006 would have been 10 years, and 2012 would be 16."
Yeah...
