Did Bandai Namco have a hand in Advance Wars? The tanks look similar to those.

I guess colored tanks are bound to happen in most multi-player tank games (although the tank design in this game does look similar to Advance Wars, now that you mention it.) Kinda unrelated but interesting: Intelligent Systems and Nintendo R&D1 developed my favorite Super Scope game, Battle Clash (AKA Space Bazooka) and it's sequel. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Clash
