Monster's name – Ekhornkin
Monster's concept (like giant crab or ooze from radioactivity) -
An ancient beast that was imprisoned in a stone carving in a time before colonists arrived. Ekhornkin’s statue was unearthed by archaeologists and brought to the Tokyo University for a carbon analysis. Unfortunately, during one of the more recent monster battles, the statue broke and Ekhornkin was released from his carved prison.
Monster's appearance -
Ekhornkin resembles a large, very shaggy, brown squirrel. His eyes are jet black and the fur around them is blood red. The fur on his under belly is a dingy white while his leg and tail hair are tipped in black. He has two small horns on the top of his forehead and a row of spikes trailing down his spine to the base of his tail. Ekhornkin also has a white diamond pattern on top of his skull.
Monster's powers and weapons (be creative, but keep it within the theme of the game) –
The creature’s already known abilities include:
- an electrical shock that emits from the creature’s horns in the form of either an arcing lightning bolt (long range) or in a short burst known as a shock blast (close combat);
- energy appears to be stored in his spinal spikes for later use;
- being able to leap six (6) – eight (8) miles (further with a running start) giving the appearance of flight as was first reported;
- a surprisingly durable tail, records show that a few sweeps can level a small village;
- teeth and claws should also be avoided.
Monster's alignment (Good? Evil? Rogue?) –
Territorial. Once Ekhornkin claims an area as his own he will defend it until driven out by a stronger monster or either lack of food. However, it has been observed that he will side with a fellow monster to defeat enemies he feels are more of a threat to his home.
Extra optional notes:
- Ekhornkin was caged in the stone more because he was careless and less because he was an evil monster.
- He tends to make his nest by tunneling into a mountaintop or hollowing out a skyscraper; it all depends upon which area he’s laid claim to.
- If Ekhornkin’s energy is drained from delivering too many shocks, or if he is mortally wounded, he will seek out a source to provide him with more electricity. This can mean anything from power stations to electrical storms; one report even shows him being revived from near death by one such passing storm.
Hates flying monsters and will even pursue one outside of his territory.
