With cold, calculating malice, the billionaire would-be conqueror uttered 2 simple words: “Do it.”
“Consider it done, sir…”
Across the streets of Tokyo, hell was unleashed.
Explosions tore through the busiest intersections of the city, scattering pedestrians and vehicles alike.
Cloud seeders exploded high above the city, unleashing heinous acid into the atmosphere to coalesce around nuclei of dust, falling to ground tearing into the flesh of terrified civilians, stripping the paint from billboards, eating at the foundations of already ravaged structures.
As timers ticked down, valves turned open dumping a toxic cocktail into the water works, poisoning any unlucky enough to drink and searing the eyes and flesh of those desperately trying to watch the stinging acid away.
An awe inspiring series of explosives detonated along the bottom of the sea, simultaneously sending seismic shocks through the already chaotic streets and producing a wall of water to leap forth, threatening to swallow the bodies and souls of any who were unable to flee from its runaway path.
Massive electrical discharges ripped through the circuits of key city junctures, destroying the city’s infrastructure, taking out all nearby military basis and crippling hospitals already beginning to overflow with terrified, critically wounded citizens.
And yet, as hell on earth reigned down on the city, one facet of its functioning was carefully left untouched: Through painstaking planning and execution, the cities television stations remained on the air, and those homes not totally destroyed by the various onslaughts were glued to breaking news bulletins from a dozen different stations, each baring the same message:
“As the greatest disaster to grip our fair city unfolds, government officials and private citizens enough have one question on their minds: Where is their savior? Where is Brian Thorn?”
It was a disaster no one hero could hope to thwart, no man could be in so many places at once… But it was a disaster just as carefully planned to occur when Thorn would be at his most distracted, when he would be… occupied as he so famously has been countless times in the past…
As tears and blood soaked through the streets only to be washed away by a flood of salt water or eaten away by acid, Fearzilla stood back and watched. Standing tall before the city, the monster shouted his message for all to hear, for one man to hear…
“And a very special addition of the Threatdown, the Number One Threat to Tokyo… The man who would call himself your savior, the man who would have you all believe he is the only one to protect the crown, the only hero worthy of defending the city… The man whose ego and need to aggrandize himself drove one of your greatest defenders to madness, to my side… The man whose only concern is for himself, whose every action is to serve his own petty needs, to satisfy his own base desires… The man who is too busy bedding another man’s wife when he is supposed to be watching out for you… The man who has done everything he has ever done in this world for himself and himself only, in a desperate attempt to prove his own supposed perfection… He is the man who has brought about all of your pain and suffering, and the man who will bring about your and his own destruction tonight: He is… Brian Thorn!”
A second wave of explosions tore through the city, providing exclamation point to the monstrous poignant words, and a renewed epidemic of terror to the hearts of the populace.
“MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!”
