"Happy Groundhog Day, viewers, and welcome back to the boob-tube one-stop-shop for your monster mayhem must-have's! January wasn't just cold through the broken streets of Tokyo, it was full of full-blown betrayal!"
"Not a lot of people will claim the battles within Tokyo's boundaries have been caring to the factions of heroes, but, with the city's structure falling down every second, who can really say it's a battle they can win? Regardless, with Fearzilla splitting up the city's defenses into a morally-just collection of rogues, the heroes needed an answer, and, as it's leader and Monster King, the pilot of the mechanical giant, Brian Thorn, began to get that ball rolling, the unspeakable happened!"
"Mebbles turned on Brian Thorn! Well... not quite. Well, yes, it was Mebbles, but he mutated and transformed into a different monster altogether and sided with Fearzilla and the forces of destruction. His name is now Gulpzilla and quenching his thirst for blood is his game. Not even The King of Chaos, The Regional Manager of Randomness, The Duke of Drunk, The Slosh of Super, Super Slosh, with his sweet newly-created living Singapore cane, Sweetness, could escape the inky blank claw of evil."
"But when the call had to be answered, back-up did come for Brian Thorn. Tokyo's giant blue peace-keeper, Fred the dragon, came and assisted the mechanical mister, pushing back Fearzills, Gulpzilla, and Dr. Red's nefarious gang of weird monsters, albeit temporarily."
"Fred has stepped up and proven to be a worthy ally, but the powers of good are still outnumbered by a wide margin. Will more help arrive or will they eventually fall to the awful onslaught of badness? Tune in next time to find out! Thank you for watching, and for the Tokyo Today at Five crew, that is a wrap!"
